Wood and antler
Wood was during the prehistorical period the most often used material but hardly ever it was preserved until the present day. It is known that wood served as material for making buildings, ships and tools. For wood working axes were used and some of them you can see also in this exhibition.
Bones and antlers are preserved more often than wood and they were popular among our ancestors for the specific characteristics. Besides tools, also jewels were made from antler. Several examples of bones that were worked by people can be found in the cabinet between entrances into this room.
